I deleted the SMS Text Message Application on Verizon BlackBerry 8830 on accident - Is there anyway to install it back on to my BlackBerry???

Now I'm having to use the Compose App or the Messages App to text message everyone.

Doing a system reset should bring it back. I've done something like this before and when I reset the device, everything came back installed.

If I system reset then will I have to reinstall all of the other programs and lose my settings? Thanks

Yes, you should backup what you want to save before hand with the Desktop manager software.

Use Desktop Manager to re-install the app.
If you go to 'Application Loader' it will open the wizard. You will notice that the checkmark next to SMS is gone. Check the application and follow the steps to re-install the app.

Tell us specifically what you did to delete SMS... you might have just deleted the provisioning for it rather then the SMS app itself. Depending on which you did will depend on a proper answer.

If the OP just pulls his battery and reboots, he will not loose any apps or data. That is a hard reset, and the recommended method for most any glitch on a BB.

The OP probably deleted his/her SMS/Text folder (separate from the email folder), or hid it.
