| Unlocking allows you to use a SIM card from another provider for voice and data, if the provider has BB service. As long as you have a data connection, you should have the browser and messenger available.
AFAIK, the 8707v is not WiFi capable. | | Offline

| There are no disadvantages to unlocking the device. Everything should work as normal as long as you have the BB data plan as dubdub suggested. | | Offline

You ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, DEFINITIVELY, 100% must have a BlackBerry DATA PLAN in order to use ANY data features.

Ask your provider for a "BlackBerry Data Plan". That is the ONE AND ONLY way that any data features will function on your device.

| jliverty, you have PMed me and I have answered this question as well. It is the internet connection to your BlackBerry. You must call your voice carrier to but this internet service to your phone--called a BlackBerry Data Plan.
What that will translate to in your native language, I don't know, but that is what you need.
Good luck. | | Offline

| No. You'll need to contact your provider and see if they offer "Blackberry Data." If they don't you won't get BB data. It's been posted above and it's plain and simple. | | Offline

The trackwheel can break, and it can be repaired.

| jliverty, you asked me all this in a PM this morning and I answered it clearly.
You will need a trackwheel to operate certain facets of the 8707 BB, such as for sending an email, etc.
Is your trackwheel broken or not? | | Offline
