Hi Everyone,

I've just ordered my new blackberry 8820 and it arrives tomorrow! Can't wait.

Has anyone on here got it? What do you all think about it?

Cheers,

Thanks for the reply.

This is my first adventure into the world of Blackberry. Been wanting to for ages but my new job now gives me the right purpose for it.

Cheers,
Paddy

You will really like the Blackberry. There are so many things about it that will help you enjoy. Stay tuned and read all you can in this forum as it contains a wealth of information.

I remember many years ago when I got my 6510 Blackberry from Nextel. It seemed I would never learn to use it. You simply need to learn as you need to understand a new funtion. I was lucky and has a friend who had used Blackberry for several years. People here will help, too.

Thanks for that.

I'll be asking lots of questions then! Shame you guys won't have the 8820 at the same time however i'm sure the majority of the things will be the same.

I've had one for a few weeks now and it is a lovely little machine. I think you'll really enjoy it.

One thing to note if you are getting your 8820 through Orange UK: Orange have disabled Blackberry Maps! Orange wants you to use their own service which you have to pay for. You can get BB Maps working by following John Clark's notes here:

How to get BBMaps to show on my Blackberry
