Unhappy 8830 won't sync with vista

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I just got the 8830 blackberry... it works great.. but i'm so fustrated beacuse I cannot get it to sync with my notebook.

my notebook has Vista Ultimate
Microsoft Office 2007.
BlackBerry Device Manager 4.2.2.10

when I connect my device via usb; i'm promt for my password and then the sync windows pops up and says 'please wait'. The BB Desktop Manager windows status says 'working'...

and basically, it just stays there for hours.. (i've left it for hours many time to see what'll happen..)

I've unstalled and reinstall the BB Device Manager software several times. There is no Intelsyncs folder on my HD.

OH also, when i Click on Synchronize / Configuration
the Configurre reconciliation and Configure synch are grayed out.

I've clicked the 'reset configuration' button many times to see if i can enable buttons... but nothing.

I really need to get my MS Office Contacts, Calenders sync to the BB device today...

Please advice!

thanks in advance.

Default

More then likey an issue with Outlook 2007. I'm using Ultimate and Office 2003 without any issues. I had to do nothing special. BTW, make sure you're using the latest Desktop Manager (4.2 w/SP2) from RIM's site to be sure it's not DM causing this. Don't use the version that comes on the CD with the phone.

I'm using DM v. 4.2.2.14
