Default GPS on Verizon 8830 - Telenav Demo?

Please Login to Remove!

I've been reading that if you get the Telenav demo, it will enable google maps' access to the internal GPS unit in the 8830. Is this true? if so, where do I go download the demo?

I couldn't find it on TeleNav - Always find your way! and I looked pretty hard.

Anyone have a direct link to the telenav demo?

I don't think that will work on the Verizon BB's.

No, it will not enable the GPS in Verizon's 8830. It requires a gps puck.

The first 30 days are free, so if you sign up for it you can use it for 30 days, after which you will be billed the $9.99 per month charge unless you cancel it. Pretty easy sign up on the Telenav site.
