Does anybody know that does an unlocked 7100v work in the States via Cigular, T-mobile, etc.? I was on the Cigular BB7100 board and someone mentioned that the data stream format and e-mail format in the States are different than those in UK, although the voice function works. Any truth to that? Thanks for your help.

I am using a 7100v on rogers , and i dont think there is a difference, works like everyother blackberry, the data works fine for me

If that was the case (that voice would work with no data), then every person who came to the US with another BlackBerry (7100v or BB from Germany or whatever) would not be able to roam and pick up their e-mail. Nonsense. Your 7100v will work fine in North America.

thank you for all your inputs. Yes, I am definitely consider getting one of them on eBay. I really like to form factor of the 7100v.
