Default Help loading Apps on Verizon 8830

Please Login to Remove!

I am having a problem loading new applications to my new Verizon 8830 World Edition Smartphone. I have v.4.2.2.66 and am using Desktop version 4.2 as well. When I am in application loader and browse to an .alx file, it says that no applications for my device are found. I never had this problem with my old 7250. Anyone else having a similar issue? Anyone have any advice? I'm either guessing User Error or something is messed up somewhere...

Thanks!

If you're using the same application alx as you were using for your 7250, that's the problem. There is a difference between the devices. The software used on the 7250 most likely won't work on the 8830

I am downloading apps that are specifically for the 8800 series of the blackberry. Any more ideas?
