Default Using Sprint BlackBerry 8830 on Bell Mobilty/Aliant with Data

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I recently purchased a BlackBerry 8830 off ebay in order for me to use on my home network. I have contacted my carrier and I have contacted sprint in order to get this device setup for use on the aliant network but I seem to be running into a problem. I can't get a 1XEV connection its stuck at 1x. Has anyone had any similar experices and if so how did you overcome them or did you?

Your best bet would be to call your carrier and find out...but let me ask you...

go to options>Mobile network> now look at "Network Mode"...does it say 1XEV? If yes, then your good. If not, highlight it (scroll down to it) and change it. If you notice that you're having problems with your connection, then like i said before, best bet is to ask your carrier.

Other than that, ENJOY!

I am having the exact same problem as well. Bell requires 1xEV connection to access data. Have you found a solution anywhere?

I am considering purchasing a Sprint 8830 for use on Aliant/Bell.

Were you able to get yours to work?

Default Any Solution?

Did anyone find a solution to this problem? I was looking at buying a phone online, but obviously don't want to unless it will work, thanks.
