Question compose application question

Please Login to Remove!

When I use the compose application, hitting the trackwheel on a name usually brings up a new sms message screen. But on two names it calls the people. What's going on?

With those 2 names it calls, do you have email addresses listed in your Address Book for them? And if so, is the email address in the right field? I've sometimes put a phone number in an email field and had all manner of problems until I realized it and fixed it.

No e-mail addresses at all. I thought maybe I had put the numbers in the wrong field too, but everything is where it should be

I a bit confused by your question. I assume you mean track ball instead of track wheel as this section is dedicated to 8800 series devices. Also, where are you initiating "compose application" from?

The simplest way to choose between Call or SMS is to highlight a contact in the BlackBerry Address Book or Call Log and click on the BlackBerry key.

sorry, yes i meant trackball. the simplest way would seem to be using the compose application, the one on the home screen, and it has been, i'm just wondering why with these two names it initiates a phone call rather than a new sms message to the person
