I returned my first blackberry 8830 and got a new one today; the phone was giving me alot of problems. However, what was the newest verison of software available and how do I check what is currently in the phone. Thanks!

Also, I installed goggle maps, but it when I selected it with the track ball and push down, it won't open. Any ideas??

The latest is 4.2.2.123 (that's what I have).

You can find what you have by clicking on Options -> About. It's the 3rd line down.

Not sure about Google Maps....perhaps remove/reinsert the battery, and if that doesn't work, reinstall it?

That's what I have as well. It must have been the old phone because Google Maps on my new phone works great!
