Default Does unlocked 8800 still work on Telus?

I was given an 8800 recently at a RIM event and it is unlocked, but does that mean I can use it on the Telus network?

No, it won't work. Telus is a CDMA carrier. The 8800 is a GSM device. Too bad they didn't give you an 8830 (it's CDMA.)
