Question Uploading videos

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to upload a 2.9mg .mp4 file into the flash memory of my 8830. The remaining space on the device is 10.9mg, however it complains it can not upload the file because there's not enough space. Is this normal?

Is your device reading the media card?

A video only 2.9 MB????

Hmmmmm. With certain formats, the size expands when it converts to a format for bb.

I know what your numbers say but I would make the investment and get the media card. You will need it if you are saving media files.

Click here for the video (World in Conflict - Gamespot). Is this something someone can test and see if they get the same message?

get an SD card, they are cheap. if there is a limit it might be to the built in flash only. I have a 2 gig SD card ($24 on amazon plus shipping) and have a bunch of videos loaded, most approx 200 megs each ... (compression is smaller than the corresponding windows media b/c you will have 320x240, and either 15 or 24 fps, not 30 ... I have 90 mins of material in a 200 meg file, which is relatively small, and it looks fine. I used mobiola studio to convert them ($10) and it works fine. also uploads files to the SD and saves from it (maybe the provided media manager can do it too, I just don't have it in my desktop image so didn't bother with it..easier to just buy the add on). good luck...
