Default WiFi for CDMA (VZW/Sprint)??

Please Login to Remove!

I currently have a T-Mobile 8800. I recently tried out a Mogul on the Sprint network, and loved the network, but hated windows mobile. (Well not hate, but after weighing the pro's and con's, blackberry won.) The speed of the network is much better and the price is actually the same or slightly cheaper than tmobile depending on your texting preferences.

I want to switch to sprint now, but i also dont want to get an "out-dated" blackberry in the 8830, if a wifi one will be coming out soon and i can just wait until then, if it is in the near future.

Does anyone have any info on this? Even if it is a rumor i would probably still wait.

Thanks,
Sal

I saw this old post in the Rumor mill section, but don't see anything for Sprint with WiFi: New BlackBerrys this Summer - Confirmed

Sprint and Verizon have EVDO. Not much need for the WiFi.

Dont get your hopes up. HTC is still including wifi in its CDMA designs but from the upcoming CDMA blackberries it looks like RIM isnt.

Unless you leave North America or happen to be in a place with WiFi but not cellular coverage. Like my sister's house.
