Unhappy BlackBerry Messenger (BB Messenger) problem on 8703e

Please Login to Remove!

I have the 8703e blackberry on verizon. I often use Blackberry Messenger and when I add someone's pin it tends to work fine but if someone adds me to their contacts I remain pending but I never get the request. Is there a setting I have to change or something to be able to receive these requests? Thanks so much!

Yes they are adding by pin. And I continue to appear pending on their blackberries while I never get a request.

I don't know, I have yet to try that but I will do so. Are there any possible problems with my settings in BB messenger I should be aware of?

There is nothing to set. It could be they have the wrong pin in their address book or something....

There can be issues if either of you are on a corporate BES but that's about it.

using the PIN message test will deterime if they have your correct PIN.

There really are no settings at all for BBM.

Default I have seen this before

BBM uses emails to pass contact invitations. I you or the user you are trying to add have a rule in Outlook redirecting the email to another folder you will not receive the invitations.

Default BB Messenger invite replies go to Outllok

I have invited a number of people who have BB Messenger. The replies are all going to my Exchange account. We have BES btw. Any ideas?

Try adding them using PIN. Don't use email. Make sure you have their pin in your address book and then use their pin.

That's correct - to use PIN to PIN messages you must have a BlackBerry Data Plan.
