I was surprised to read this today. Anyone else know they were going this route?

I've been seeing the reports.....first reports mentioned some Java virtual machine (is that right?) that would make it possible, and now news that RIM won't be using it, but doing something else.....I guess the gist of the story about RIM wanting/planning to do this has been in the news for a couple of weeks, maybe three or four weeks.

But then, is the gist of the story accurate? Don't have a clue.
