Thumbs up How to import security certificates on the BlackBerry PlayBook

Please Login to Remove!

Please complete the following steps to import and use security certificates on the BlackBerry PlayBook:

Copy the certificate file to the certs share on the BlackBerry PlayBook
Touch the Gear icon in the top right hand corner of the PlayBook and select Security
Within the Security menu, select Certificates
Touch the Import button in the bottom right corner
Select the certificate to be imported and touch Next
Select the Class and which certificate store(s) to import the certificate into
The certificate will now be available when creating a VPN profile, Wi-Fi profile, or when a accessing a secure website

Here are the steps;
1. Connect PB to USB port. Go to Settings->About->Network
2. Note the autoconfiguration address (169.254.x.x)
3. Go to your PC. Start->Run-> type in \\169.254.x.x\
4. Here you would see the "certs" folder. Copy your certificate in here
5. Now go to PB Settings-> Security -> Certificates -> Import

That is a great tip arienram. I seem to always map to a drive letter which only lets me see the media. I can see both folders over wifi. But I couldn't see the certs folder over usb. This solves the problem.
