Default What do you want in future updates?

Please Login to Remove!

I want to be able to "sync" my contacts/notes/calendar entries onto my PlayBook and have all the info saved locally on the PlayBook itself. Next time I bridge it would update all contacts/notes/calendar entries. This dovetails with the alleged stand-alone email client we're about to get. Allegedly.

I want the Agenda View for the calendar just like on my 9930 and every other BlackBerry I've had since my 7105t. And while I'm wishing for pie in the sky, how about that week-at-a-glance calendar view like I had on my Palm Treo? The one that's laid out like a paper date book, showing a week's worth of appointments on one page and often referred to as "grid view".

I want to be able to set the first day of the week on my calendar to Monday.

I want the OS to be a little snappier. I've noticed a bit of lag and while it's not terrible, it's noticeable.

I knew when I got this PlayBook that it was a work in progress. That's why I waited until somebody was selling one at a good price. I'm willing to wait and see where it goes with the update. But for now, compared to my iPad, well, there is no comparison. The iPad blows it away on ALL metrics. I'm not saying they need to beat or even match the iPad. I'm just saying the PlayBook needs a LOT of polish if RIM hopes to sell them.

I'll second that!

I did find it a little strange that SMS (texting) wasn't an option via bridge.

Patiently waiting for all the things originally promised. Most notably, native email. It will be interesting to see what changes will be brought to BES to make this possible.

Thrilled that we now have a Citrix receiver, however it does not work over https (yet), according to Citrix.

Would like to figure out how to make my Cisco VPN connection work (sigh), and once I get THAT figured out, RDP would be lovely.

I'm holding out for good things yet to come

I would like to see a built-in file manager. I would also like to be able to choose where I save images that I pull off the Web, such as in Google Images. I just get "Playbook" and my bridged phone. Maybe I would like to save to a specific folder.

I would like a complete device. So far, that hasn't happened. Hopefully before 2012.

I would like to see RIM make one more Playbook device with 4G and a 3D screen. They could do this similar to how Nintendo does with their 3DS so that people don't have to buy expensive 3D glasses.

.

These are good for a start but i would also like to see native email and calendaring. A gmail client that works. Auto capitalization and spell checking. A decent cut and paste. Also make it so we have access to android apps because the native apps suck. Also decent wifi connectivity.

It has a solid operating system but needs way more polishing.

(before OS2)...Citrix Receiver works, VPN finally works, RDP downloaded from app world works.

With OS2...
Aside from the "gimmes" (native email, contacts, calendar), I was able to load Kindle for Android (bye-bye Cloud Reader), and I was able to load Pandora for Android. Yes, they had to be side loaded, but they both work perfectly. Oh, and WordPress is nice to have as well. It's all good in my PB world.
