This question is very simple and should have a simple answer but I have found no answer in my research or experimentation. How can I delete MP3 files in the music app that I no longer want. The only thing I can find is how to delete them from playlists but not the playbook itself.

Bring up the app, select all songs. Swipe down from the top frame to bring up the app menu, click on edit, select the songs you want to delete and click the trash can. Standard PB UI gestures. I have done all but the last step (I don't want to delete any music).

That is exactly how I figured I could do it, just like deleting pictures BUT when I click "edit" I do not get a trash can but an "add" which adds the selected songs to a playlist. Now if I go in to the playlists I can edit and get the trash can to delete from the playlists but they remain on the playbook! Am I missing something? This is not covered in the user guide (of course many things are not covered in the User Guide!).

You can't delete MP3s (yet) directly. You need to get a file manager for the PB (I use AIR Browser, free in AppWorld) or do this from your PC desktop.

Hmm. Perhaps I should have mentioned I'm running the 2.0 developer bata. So comming soon we hope.

I also recommed AIR Browser... It is no cost and works well.

I forgot I had already downloaded air browser. I went into it and deleted the desired files quickly. Thanks.
