So I've been tasked to order a PB as a gift for someone and found out that they want it shipped to Austria where the person receiving it is.

My biggest question is will the recipient have any setup issues? I cannot recall with the PB is there are regional versions (eg North and South America, Europe, Asia) when it comes to selecting your initial locale for the license agreement.

I know the one problem will be plug compatibility with the power adapter (though if I'm correct, not voltage incompatibility)

Aside from that would I be right to assume that warranty won't exist if they are regional?

Anything else I should consider? I more so need to pass this info along to the person who wanted this all to happen.

I know of some people in Europe with a "North American" PlayBook. It works, but app world may present different views (apps) depending on the region.

As for the voltage... the ones I know of have adapters that will deal with 100V-240V, so that covers Austria (220V I believe). They will need a different plug though. That can be resolved by either.
