Best 4G PlayBook for AT&T USA User Along with many of you here, I imagine, I am very excited for the "new PlayBook", to steal a phrase. I mentally considered how I was going to approach this, being that I already have a 64 GB Wi-Fi PlayBook. That being said, AT&T very recently launched LTE in my area, which made my decision for me. I WANT AN LTE PLAYBOOK!!! I am a man who prefers to expect the worst and hope for the best. My expectation is that AT&T won't even carry the LTE PlayBook, especially considering how they thoroughly ruined one of its best features: BlackBerry Bridge. In the event that my predictions come true, what is the best decision to be made? In the past, Rogers BlackBerry smartphones were the most compatible with AT&T. Will that pattern continue with the tablets? If so, how will my experience with a Rogers PlayBook on AT&T vary from, say, a Rogers PlayBook on Rogers? Also, what are the chances of there being a "new PlayBook" that has no cellular connection at all? Bridge was lackluster on my 9800 but is rather cushy on my 9900. And, FFS, could they just put out a 64 GB one? I'm not a big fan of sacrificing storage capacity for a performance bump, TBH. |
Re: Best 4G PlayBook for AT&T USA User I'm not sure if you are asking a question here - as far as I know there is no 4G PlayBook available for AT&T now. Maybe there will be at some point but I haven't seen anything in the news about it. |
Re: Best 4G PlayBook for AT&T USA User I see everyone is trembling with excitement. |

Re: Best 4G PlayBook for AT&T USA User Also, the Robbers one will not have all of the correct LTE bands for use with an AT&T SIM. They use Bands 4 and 7 (2100/1700 MHz AWS, and 2600 MHz), whilst AT&T utilises Bands 4 and 17 (2100/1700 MHz AWS, and 700 MHz). |
Re: Best 4G PlayBook for AT&T USA User Even there it isn't getting much traction. Playbook Dud Redux. I hope they kept their inventory low this time and learned their lesson. |
Re: Best 4G PlayBook for AT&T USA User They probably didn't. |
Re: Best 4G PlayBook for AT&T USA User And it isn't cheap... Oh well, I don't think any investors/owners thought this would give the company a pop anyway. BB 10: It's all or nothing |
Re: Best 4G PlayBook for AT&T USA User Well, it looks like the first ones will only be Canadian. Although this site says they will be configuring more for the rest of the world. RIM doses PlayBook with 4G super serum ? Reg Hardware Personally, I hope this isn't why they held up BB10 because I agree with NJ. |
