2.1.0.840

This update was available for my PlayBook this morning. Kind of strange since that was the version I was running anyway (developer beta). For me the update was less than 1MB and didn't require a reboot and has made no immediately apparent changes. For people running 2.0 it will likely be different.

Has anyone else seen it?

I got a notification for a 1mb update as well - but not from 2.1, it was 2.03 (its at home so cannot recall the exact current version). Updated and rebooted but noticed no changes. Still at a version below 2.1

I didn't see it myself but there were posts about it on Twitter, bug fixes was the speculation. I got a 1 MB update yesterday for 2.0.1.688 as well. I haven't noticed anything different in using the PlayBook since then.

Well, I though maybe they would drop the 2.1 update during the Jam. But the big news today is the Beta 3 release for BB10 and Dev Alpha. That I didn't expect for those of us not at the Jam until after it was over.

Yup I got the little 1mb update for 2.1.0.840. As stated it is likely just some minor fixes... Seems all is well anyway.

If RIM is sending out updates/fixes for the 2.1.0.840 beta, it tells me that 2.1 is not quite ready for public consumption. My guess is that if these are minor fixes, we will have the public 2.1 as soon as they are verified to fix the issues without causing new ones.
