I'm thinking of signing up to amazon cloud player, rather than iTunes match ad amazon allows streaming which I prefer.

I have 1 playbook now, and another will be here for Xmas.

So is the official app available, if not why, along with kindle! I think the browser player will work but it's not the same.

Amazon didn't even write a Kindle reader for the PlayBook. What makes anyone think they will write ANYTHING for a non-selling PlayBook?

I use Google Play. I have 6000+ songs in the cloud. It works an it is free ...

You can stream music from Amazon Cloud on the PlayBook, but you can't download the app. Kindle Cloud Reader works just fine too. There is a an Android version of Kindle that's been converted for PB and can be sideloaded. I haven't used it but people on other sites say it works great.

Don't mind the naysayers here - if you read crackberry.com you can find workarounds for many things on the PB.

Amazon isn't writing anything for the Playbook.

I found a version of Amazon MP3 for cloud playing but it was an older version, I sideloaded it, but as I'm in UK the streaming wasn't there for UK users.

It does work from the browser, but it's a bit of a faff on, would rather have the native app. Anyone help? The newest Amazon MP3 app is v2.71

You would get more help at the other site I mentioned. They have a lot more folks with PlayBooks. Sorry but this site just isn't as active as it used to be. I don't know anything more besides what I already said.
