Help please
 
I have just purchased a blackberry playbook but it won't connect to my windows 8 laptop when connected it says it's connected on the playbook itself but on the blackberry desktop program it can't find it. I have downloaded the software from blackberry website and done all updates. can anybody help me with this please?

Hi Mystie, welcome to the forum.

What are you trying to do? Transfer files? Update the OS? Wipe the PB?

DM is compatible with W8.

I'm trying to put files onto it but not attempted to try that yet as the software can't connect to my playbook and no idea why because on the playbook itself saying connected to computer

You do not need to use DM to transfer files over. You should be able to connect your PB to your PC and open it up in Windows Explorer.

It should show up as a drive. You can also transfer files over your WiFi network.

if the pb software isn't working, uninstall and reinstall it.
