Default Help pls....trying to set up and stuck

Please Login to Remove!

Get Wifi OK but then it tries to check to update software and I just get the message "unable to connect to update server". Can't get past this - any ideas....?

Any help appreciated. Went into a few phone shops and they said they'd not seen the problem before.

Tried connecting to pc but it just says I have to update vie the device first.

Have you tried updating your software using BlackBerry Link?

Tried the above - BBlink says set up using device first. It asks what country, language etc, sets up wifi OK. Then checks for software updates when I get the " cannot connect to update server" message - can't swipe past it so can't use phone....

Remove your SIM Card (the one that you have when you bought your device)

Cycle the power on your device.

Place SIM back in.

I would also try to connect to another WiFi network if that is possible. I assume the device is new and has never been setup before? And the error doesn't have a number after it like (2032)

So you have the error 2032?

For the PlayBook, but the steps should be the same http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/b...ListHelperImpl unfortunately, I don't know of a quick fix for this.

Only other thing I can think of is a SIM error, and you may have to ask your carrier for another provisioned SIM card.

Have just spoken to carrier and sim is fine. Tried several wifi networks and all ok. They say handset faulty :(

I have it sorted.... you need a good mobile signal as well as wifi - living out in the middle of nowhere the signal is sorted.....phew.....
