So you are talking about the email password and not the device password?
If the email password, are you sure the password has expired? Does the message you get say something to the effect that the password MAY have expired?
Try entering the the same password and see if you can reconnect. I have this issue with my yahoo and yahoo hosted email. I don't know of a solution.
If the password really is expiring, I don't know, but would suspect a setting on the email service side, not the device. See what others say.
