Default Google Maps 2.0.1 and the 8300 Crash - 12-05-2007, 06:51 PM

I have an ATT 8300 and when I downloaded the new version of Google Maps it crashes the BB every time, freezes and then I need to hard reboot. I really do not want to have to change the OS for one program to work. Anyone figure out why this is happening or how to fix it? I have tried adjusting permissions, uninstall and reinstall etc....

I know there are several threads where this is discussed but nothing in detail and not about this one main point.

Thanks for the help in advance

I see that you say youve adjusted permissions but usually this problem is a permissions problem. I've got GMM 201 installed on my 8320 and it works just fine.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I have loaded that very program on many customers phones with no problems to date!

Earlier 8300 OS have some stability problems, so you may as well have to do the OS upgrade. If you have the latest BB Desktop, it will backup your settings and preexisting applications as you upgrade. Stick to the latest 4.2 stable, don't get the betas.

Thanks,

I think you would need to enable your browser.

It looked to me like you said it was D for Deny.

I thought the Google maps had to have internet access to work.
