Question 8830 & Gps

1:

As noted above, I have an app button that will DL "GPSNav" OTA. What exactly would I be downloading & is it possible to Dl to BB desktop and load it that way as opposed to OTA.?

2: In order to use GPS, is this BB actually able to accept GPS sat signals..? or is done through the internet or cellular system.

If so, then I am assuming to reduce ones cost/add ability, you would need one of these GPS receivers as noted in the sticky above and use the BB's BT to access this Sat data.?

If it sounds like I am bit confused on this..you're right.!

VZW only allows it;s own Verizon Navigator application.
