Hi. I have looked and see no solution on any threads.

I have a blackberry 8310 and google maps 2.0.1 worked fine.
I upgraded to gmm 2.0.3 and the bb totally locks every time I click on the icon. I left it for 30min to make sure it's not "slow" - no. Have to take battery out. Even 3 finger salute does not wok.

I removed gmm many times, did the battery out many times, removed many other apps to make sure memory is not an issue.
No change.
I will look for the older version og gmm, but wonder if someone actually found a solution to this.

I am on BES and I have a BES business data plan on my BB, unless AT&T screwed up and that is not what they put on my account, but other data services work, I can use opera, IM, skype fine. So I do not see how it could be the data plan.

Help help help, pls! thx all in advance!

got it working, got this from one of the google help forums:

Go into Options >>
Security Options >>
Application Permissions >>
Google Maps >>
(push menu button), select Edit Permissions >
select Allow Connections and Allow Interactions.
save....

Seems to have done it!
Crazy!
Now I will have to see if it all works right - many pple seem to think it does not work as nice as the older version.

P.S. I did nto find the old version for BB anywhere.

TN also needs the same, so thats a good thing to try along with resetting the firewall.
