Default I dont think so... - 04-17-2008, 08:39 AM

I also have Google Mobile Maps and I dont believe that can be edited. When I did some reasearch on this feature, it was explained to me that the "My Location" feature works off of your position triangulated (hope I spelled that right) of your phone in reference to the closest cell tower. Although this is not as pinpoint accurate as GPS, it pretty darn close. I have used it for about week and a half now and the my location feature is very welcomed feature.

Geek it til it Mhz!

It is using cell phone towers to estimate the location. That's as good as it gets. To get a more accurate location, you need an external GPS puck on the 8320.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

As bonafidebrother is saying, it will give you a general location but you are dependent on the cell tower

i have always wondered why google maps can be so inaccurate sometimes, yet the vz navigator can give consistent enough results to triangulate your position in dense areas using the same technique.

I'll take the full odds on the 10, 200 on the hard way, the limit on all the numbers and 250 on the 11, thank you very much.
