Question How to Open google maps and use with GPS

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
new to the forum and new to BB so this may be (will be) a stupid question but stcik with me please.

My missus has a new 8110. However it is a branded Vodafone model which has been unlocked so she can use it on her O2.

The vodafone model comes with specific vodafone maps which has an icon which obviously doesn't work because she is on O2.

I am sure you can use it with Google Maps but I don't know how to get it started.

So any advice for this BB newbie would be great.

BTW I loved her 8110 so much I have ordered an 8310 - mine will be O2 provided so shouldn't be so much trouble.

Thumbs down Not as straight forward as you expect

again, thanks Oakie.

I finally found the web browser, not easy to find. Maybe because it is a Vodafone model which has been unlocked to run on O2.

Anyway the web browser isn't working because the O2 settings are not installed.

So over to the missus, she can sort that out

No doubt I will be back asking loads of questions next week when my 8310 is delivered.
