Default Blackberry 8310 - Free GPS without internet access

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I just bought a Vodafone Blackbery Curve 8310 and i got a little desapointed when i noticed that to use the GPS it has to be by internet access :(
That kinda got me a little sad.. This and by not having wifi :/
Anyway, is there any free GPS software that works without internet access? Or all of them need to access the internet to work?

Welcome to the BBForums.

Some research before your purchase might have been smart. Actually, the GPS on the device IS free, as it is built in. You can see your GPS position at Options > Advanced > GPS, such as your Lat/Long position.

There are a couple of non-data required GPS applications, but they don't work well, in my opinion. Look at the Sticky threads at the top of this section "All Known GPS Applications".

Full specs for all current models are always on RIM's Blackberry site. Definitely do your research before buying.
