Default Problems with GPS voice prompts... Any known solutions?

Please Login to Remove!

I did some searching, and came across numerous people having problems with voice prompts on various GPS navigation softwares. I did not see any solutions, but most of the stuff was fairly outdated...

Are there any known solutions yet?

My situation: Verizon 8330 w/ keychain GPS reciever. Amaze works, Garmin works, VZ Nav works.
Nav4All doesn't work, Mapquest doesn't work.

I've tried a battery pull, and redownloading the softwares that don't work with the firewall on and off.

Any other ideas?

amAze GPS has a Verizon-specific version with the voice prompts finally fixed. Since you are using a BT puck, download the VZW-specific version for the external GPS. It works for me. No more cut-off voice prompts.

Yeah, AmAze was one that worked.

Mapquest and Nav4all still don't.

I don't use Nav4All anymore, but when I did it worked fine. As far as Mapquest, I thought their voice navigation version didn't work on Verizon.

That's probably the case... I was just wondering if anyone had discovered a solution or workaround yet.
