Default Map/GPS Assistance - 07-01-2009, 01:32 PM

Greetings,

I have an 8330 on Sprint. I have Sprint Navigation as well as Google's mobile maps application. I am taking a trip and have created a route on Google Maps. I emailed the link to myself but my bberry won't open the link.

My question is, how do I get my custom Google Maps route onto my bberry so I can track my progress using my phone along the way?

Thanks in advance for your time.

-Mike

I don't think that's possible. A link/URL is for a web page. Google Maps for the BB isn't a web browser nor is is designed to open stored routes, IIRC.

I was afraid of that.

So is there any way to sync the route to the phone?

Hi Alpha Mike
What if you use the BB Maps to get the routing "directions" instead, then email the directions to your self. BB Maps can open the routes sent to sms, email or PIN.
