Unhappy issues of GPS on 8900 - 07-13-2009, 03:53 AM

hi everyone,
there's one thing annoying me recently which is the GPS on 8900.
I cant tell why i cant connect to the satellites these days. Right several days ago, i have located the satellites, but the next day it failed, no matter how many times i tried and refreshed in the places of far away from high buildings, trees and also days in different weather conditions, it still failed.
any guy would please help me? thanks !

What did you do just before you noticed that it wasn't working?

I assume that since it was working, you have location services on?

Wirelessly posted (8820 on WiFi)

I doubt it is a device problem as the GPS on my 8820 is fickle at best. You could try upgrading to the latest OS which can be found in the "Stickies" section for your device in the 8900 forum.

I also think an OS update will fix the issue.

I am not a fan of updating the OS for the heck of it. In this case, I don't think it is an OS issue. Not exactly sure what it is yet, but can't see it as the OS causing the GPS not to work properly. Plus the 8900 probably has the latest OS for that device.
