Default BB Maps Query - Download? - 08-06-2009, 10:54 AM

Hi,

I have an 8900, which came with BB Maps. However, it was 'all over the place', for lack of a better term - you couldn't enter addresses to search, the maps took an age to load and so on. Anyway, I thought I'd delete the whole thing, and reinstall it via the BB site for free, only to get a message saying that my device doesn't support it, despite only just getting rid of it! I'm not sure, but is this due to my being with Orange? I think I read that this may be the issue.

Any advice appreciated. Google Maps is fine anyway, but I I would like BB maps as well if poss. (again ).

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

You need to reinstall it using the desktop manager and a firmware update file

download the OS that is on your phone from here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...FQ725EHRS Q**

Then, open desktop manager.
go to add/remove programs.
let it find itself etc.
Then it will show a list of what is installed on your phone.
Those with check marks are installed.
Check mark BB maps.
click next etc and it will install it.
