I am trying to improve battery time on my Storm and I did the following :
- I set GPS services to "location off" (whatever that means)
- I set Location aiding to "disabled"
Will it help ? What is the point in having both enabled if Google Maps or BB Maps are inactive ? Is it a way to continuously have my present position calculated ?

Unless you are using a maps program the GPS does nothing.
