I searched but didn't see this specific question. They want you to pay $10 or so per month on T-mobile to buy the GPS telenav. My question is if there is a way to use the GPS for free?

edit: Just tried google maps outside instead of inside and the GPS option under advanced and both picked up my location, so I now know that I can use the GPS for free. Now I guess I just need a free version of telenav?

I want turn by turn directions without paying a monthly fee
