Default Where are stored Google map Permissions ?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have the following problem: I cant access GPS location wiht my blackberry 8800 (system 4.2) and GoogleMaps 2.1.0. I can access the gps from BalckberryMap and go to advanced seeting and refresh my gps location. So I know that the gps connection overall is working.

Now, when I go to settings for application GoogleMaps (from options/Advances/Applications), it tells me Deny for Location (GPS). So, indeed sounds normal that I can't access it ;-(((.

BUT I can't change it (don't have the rights). My administrator don't acknowledge that they could block it (we have certainly restricted rights on our BBs). We went all the way to do a wipe/reset, and still blocked. So, is it rights imposed to my account or a weird combination of version/local lock ?

Could somebody give me a hint about where on hearth (or beyong...) this setting could be stored and imposed to me ? I would fw this information to my admin to push them a bit.

Others in the comany have it unlocked, so it does not seem like a general setting....

Thanks if you can help.

Pascal.

Verify whether or not you have an active IT Policy on your BB:

Options->Security Options->General Settings. Scroll to the bottom.

Default General Settings...

"IT Policy Name" RETS Global", Last updated xxxx
Secure GC Enables.

But what is odd (I will check one more time) is that I beleive not everybody has this block on GoogleMap in the company ? Again, to be checked again. If this was the case, I would understand it better.
Does not make a lot of sense to me since BBMap is not blocked for GPS access. Also my IT denies that there is such a IT block ;-(((.

Does not make any sense.

Hello,

In this particular case... woudl you have any suggestion on where the rights would be stored on the server ?
Thanks,
