Default Golf/GPS apps for Tour that actually work?! (Verizon) - 09-12-2009, 03:22 PM

Anyone know of any good apps that show yardage on the golf course using GPS... The handful of them that I have tried dont work with the Verizon GPS. Thanks all!

I'm using the GolfLogix and it works OK, not great, but just OK. Yardage updates are slow. Would I recommend it? No, only because the GPS updates way too slow.

Default Golf GPS - 09-17-2009, 01:27 PM

I play in a league at Presidents Golf Course in Quincy, MA.
A lot of us use Nrange on our BB. It works very well. They offer a trial period, and a lifetime subscription for only $85.

I use GreenFinder. It's $30, but it's only a one time fee. Been using it for a couple months w/o any problems. Highly recommended.

try TeeDroid (TeeDroid Mobile Phone Golf Caddy System). I have been using it for a while now, not on Verizon, but they have a 30 day trial as well so you can try it out.

I find this one to be great as you can keep score and track stats as well, not just yardages.

I have the Curve 8330. I use Intelligolf with an Ambicom GPS Puck.

I find it to be fairly accurate. Sometimes it is exact, compared to the yardage markers. Other times, it can be off by 5 yards, or so.

Some of the courses on the Intelligolf website may not have the GPS locations. You can easily add them using their web-based program, hand enter it using the GPS data obtained from Google Earth, or add them real-time while you are playing a round at the golf course.

I don't know if Intelligolf is compatible with the Tour.
