Do a quick search. It's AT&T. There are work arounds. You'll find easy enough.

Welcome to the group!

We all know that even though the icon for BB maps is no where to be found, the program is still on the phone. GLN has made a free app that gives you an icon to launch BB maps that is not service book dependent. Here's the link. http://www.gln.bz/ads.nsf/bbmapslaunch.jad

Enjoy.

Hi Samsmith,

I had the same problem...but it fixed like this. I was trying to install some applications by connecting it to Desktop Manger. When I connected, it checked for SW updates and gave me the list of SW that needed to be updated. When i tried to customize the list, it showed me BB Maps unchecked. I checked it and it installed.

good luck.

No, you do not need jar file. The program is already installed on all Blackberry phones. Download the file from the link and see for yourself that it will work.

If you don't have a data plan, the maps would not work anyhow. The maps are downloaded from the internet and not saved on the Blackberry. There is no way to save the Blackberry Maps on the Blackberry. Sorry, without a data plan you are out of luck.
