Had my Bold 9700 about 4 days and still learning basics so have several queries. I have tried to get a reading on GPS inside and outside house with no result - 0 satellites 0 co-ordinates. `Refresh GPS' always gives error`GPS Update Location Failed' Am I missing something, e.g. do I need to `initialise' GPS in some way ?

It should work out of the box. What are you doing to try and get the gps location?

Make sure you have "Location Services ON".

Make sure you are outside and have a clear view of the sky. Give it time, can take 20 minutes or more. If you can open BBMaps or download and install GoogleMaps and locate you as close as possible, that seems to speed things up a bit.
