Default 8700v as a standalone Sat Nav

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I am new to the forum and need some help or advice
I have got a perfectly good 8700v which I no longer use (So no sim card or data plan) Is it possible to use it as a standalone sat nav by downloading software and getting a bluetooth gps receiver. I am in the UK, if the answer is yes then can anybody recomend software to download to pc then transfer via desktop manager.

Thanks in advance

The answer is no I'm afraid.

Blackberrys don't store apps on data cards so all BB sat nav apps download maps via your data connection as you travel,so even if you paired your 8700 with a gps receiver you would still need a working data connection in order for any sat nav app you install to work.
Please note:No Blackberrys were harmed in the making of this post.
