I've had a BB 8320 with T-Mobile through work (Enterprise) for about a year and a half. Used Google Maps all the time.
Last month I updated Google Maps to 4.0.2, and ever since, it keeps saying that it cannot change permissions. I tried to change the permissions manually -- the only options are Deny or Prompt (I could have sworn there used to be an Allow option before). I set everything to Prompt, but still get the same message.
Thinking it was a problem with Google Maps, tried the default Map software that came with the phone -- it also cannot locate my position. Neither can Bing.
So I figured it's a problem with my GPS. Went into Options > Advanced options > GPS and found this:
GPS Data Source: None (no other option to change to)
GPS Services: Location ON
I checked with some of my colleagues (who have the same Enterprise BB), and they can use Google Maps fine.
So looks like the problem is with the GPS on my phone. Is this a software issue, or a hardware problem and I need to get a new phone?
