Default App development

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Pardon me if this is in the wrong section. I am paying a developer to create a BB app for me that utilizes the GPS. Only problem is the app is exactly the way I want it...when I can get it to open and pull up the directions on the GPS. To me, upon first glance the map looks ancient and everything takes forever to load. I have this app on two other platforms and neither hv this issue. The app is basically compiling data based on the users current positioning or they have the option to use a zip locator, if looking outside of their state.

Could it be he is using an ancient map and thats why the data is loading so slowly? Like I mentioned, I have other apps and they load the exact same data that this one does..don't understand the disconnect. Has anyone developed apps with this problem? Are there varying types of maps that can be used within apps on the RIM platform? Maybe he didn't use an updated version.

??

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
