Actually the install instructions told me to set it. I went ahead with the
install without it. I am waiting for the GPS receiver to arrive in the mail but
so far loading maps/routeplanning/etc works without messing with the APN.
I will leave it alone until the GPS comes and see how it goes.
Thanks for the link. I had found that in a search but since Wayfinder makes a big deal of it NOT being a WAP connection I was not comfortable making WAP an access point. (I had a 7290 for 2 years, only loaded Google Maps and it was solid as a rock as a phone/work BES connection and home BIS connection. I do not want to screw the 8700 up.) |
