Default BB Maps color code... - 01-08-2007, 06:22 PM

Is there somewhere that I can tell what the different colors mean on the BB Maps. For example there was a purple color i had no idea what it meant..

Also I have cingular and I am leaning toward cancelling the media/internet stuff. If I cancel the internet use will the maps still work?

I'm still figuring out the colors myself. Not sure if, say, purple is always city boundry (vs county, or other, which seems to be green).

On second question: No data = no BB maps.

Purple is also used for the route. Screen shots would help.

I would check with Stinsonddog. He has the goods on all the GPS stuffs. To be able to use the maps (google or otherwise) you need the data plan. Get the unlimited data plan. The maps use a lot of data.

I should have been more clear. Purple was an example in that I meant I don't know if the color for a city boundary is always the same. Maybe it is me, but seems what may be a city boundary changes shade, sometimes more violet, sometimes more pink, sometimes flesh color, as if to maintain contrast with neighbor regions and roads, etc. But maybe just me and the ambient lighting.
