Never mind; I re-read your post and picked up the URL.

BTW, I tried to delete my post, but the forum only allows me to edit.

It would have been nice if they added GPS.

I heard that a pregnancy test was on the upgrade list before GPS.

Sweet, cause that will be really handy. Do you pee over the light sensor, or into the microphone?

On a more serious note, how sure are you that it is very far away? We've already seen it on the Helios (we can assume there is an exclusive contract for some period of time on that, but it shows the technology exists), and now this blog post from Google Blog:

Official Google Blog: Real-world testing

Its about the Windows Mobile version of GMM, here is an interesting quote (emphasis mine).

Quote:
Like other versions of Google Maps for mobile, with this Windows Mobile version you can find businesses and see real-time traffic updates, along with unique features like contacts integration, GPS support, draggable maps, and tap and hold menus.
If they are already integrating it into the WM version, might it not be far behind for some of the other versions?

Peace,
Sam

I think Helio paid a bunch and unless others will pay they won't get it.

Do you think Microsoft paid for a similar exclusive contract? Because bringing GPS support to Windows Mobile adds a LOT of devices. Sounds like the Helio contract wasn't as exclusive as we thought, or its already expiring.

peace,
sam

I installed it 2 days ago.

Good thing is they keep the existing saved addresses.
