Default Just want lat/long & track - 02-05-2007, 10:31 AM

I have a 7100i. All I want to do is to be able to see my current lat/long and store a track that I can download. I don't need mapping. Can anyone suggest a cheap piece of software (non-subscription) that would do that?

SPOT does the former. You can upload a waypoint, but I don't think you can store a track. Software is not reliable for maps at this point.

chronicleroad.com can store your track. The page said it will support 7100i.

This maybe of interest to you. I tried the program on my Sprint 7130e. Their page said it "should" work on 7130e. The program seems to run fine, but it will not recognize my internal GPS. I tried the trick of turning on the GPS using BB map and go back to chronicle road, but it still won't work. I think it may work with a puck, but I don't have one.

The BBMaps for the 8800 has the ability to bookmark locations.
