Thanks.
Sorry. The application can only return USA results. we don't support Canada.

I downloaded and tried it this morning. It's a pretty good app. I haven't tried the gps part, but I will pretty soon.

Default InfoSpace Find It! on the Pearl - 03-28-2007, 02:07 PM

Howdy, this forum is great! I got my TMO white Pearl 2 days ago and I've already put the TIM OS on. Since then I've downloaded Find It! and it won'tstart up. It gives an error message citing possible network problems. Is anyone using this app with t-mobile? Is it the new OS? Everything else works fine, including Google Maps.

TIA,

Jay

Have you changed you apn to wap.voicestream.com? If not, go to options - advanced options - tcp - enter wap.voicestream.com with no username nor password then save.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I did that, saw it on a thread about something else. It did change the behavior a little. The error used to pop right up, but it acts like it is goingto load for 20 seconds or so, then produces the same error.

I would say delete it and reinstall it.

Great App! I did get the un-caught java null pointer error on exiting, but no big deal. Will use this often.

OK, I retro'd to 4.2.0.64 and set the application permissions all to Allow and it now works. (I tried setting the permissions while the TIM release was installed, but it didn't help). Going back to to the original OS also fixed the media player, which under TIM would reboot the Pearl every time you tried to play an mp3.

I had the same problem with Tim Italy software. Im on tmobile and the damn thing would keep giving me network issues.
I had to reinstall it over and over...its working but very faulty at it.
Tim has a lot of fixing to do.

Yes, I'll just wait for an official T-Mobile update before I play with it again

Also with this & the 8800 will we see Canadian content supported/provided since Rogers Wireless in Canada just officially announced and began shipping the 8800? The 8100 is already been out for a while now.

Thanks.

It worked on my 7130e (w/ 4.1.377 platform 2.2.0174 Kernel 3.8.3.7) for a minute and then I mapped out some directions specifically 76134 to 76133 and started the voice. It got to about step 4 and the phone rebooted.

Now I get an error that it can't connect when searching directions.

I'm going to have to take this off. I tried it again and my screen turned grey and the phone locked up with a flashing red light. I could hit the button to make the screen lighter and darker but the phone was hard locked up other than that. I held down the power button and it finally displayed the Sprint logo and said "Shutting down"

I tried it one last time and I highlighted the application and hit the wheel and the phone locked up at the home screen.

Edit: I just launched the BB Maps program and when I clicked on "Start GPS" the phone screen went black with a red light and rebooted.... Something may be going on w/ my GPS.

Ok, I put it back on. It seemed ok at first but then the phone rebooted again at about step 3 or 4 while saying the directions out loud.

I have downloaded this app on my 8703e from alltel and i get the screen where the program says loading and then i get 'unable to start InfoSpace Find It! Possible network problems, try again.'

I cannot get past this.

I click OK, Try again and get the same thing.

Am i missing something?

I wish I could use this as I am a Rogers Wireless subscriber in Canada. I've heard great things about this app. I tried it myself but no Canadian content :(
