Any news of this software being able to return Canadian results in the future at all or will it remain U.S. info only?

As for now, we will only be returning US data. It is on my plate to make a business case for Canadian data, but that data set is not cheap . Just so you know I am not blowing that off, but as a public company, I have to make good business decisions for the data. (trust me, some people at RIM have already made it clear to me that they want Canadian data too)

I installed the latest version of Infospace Find It and now I have 2 icons. In applications it shows only 1 version installed, 1.3.2. Any way to get rid of the other version/icon?

To delete the icon, do the following steps:

1. Click Options on the blackberry main menu
2. Click Advanced Options
3. Click Applications
4. Click the scroll button to bring up menu bar
5. Select Modules and click
6. Select app_findit13_Blackberry_8703e 1.3.0 and click
7. Scroll down and click delete

Any updates on when/if Infospace will work with bluetooth GPS module?

This has to be the one of most useful BB app around. I use it more often than making calls. A while ago (earlier version) I had issues with the voice "turn by turn" but it proved to be "above and Beyond" 411 even with this minor issue. I'm thinking it was a network issue. The latest version seems to be much quicker mapping and results returns. Voice works great (I prefer the female voice even though I have another riding beside me, often wrong with directions) and speedy.

Without GPS puck support as of now, this is still a "must have" application. With PUCK support, it'll be even better. I'm willing to wait. This may prove to invalidate competitors upon maturity.

Now Google Maps has a wow factor but Findit is a daily use "wow." There is really no comparison because FindIT is a directory service with mapping. Beyond 411 now looks like a stone-age app which makes calls to external services rather than Findit's encapsulation within the application itself, which means Infospace has the data without culling it from elsewhere.
It's a great plug for Infospace in general.

The developers have really set the bar on this gem. It's clean and simple enough for a smart orangutan to use (provide they can afford a data plan) or Paris Hilton (avid BB user). It generally requires little thought to use FindIt, which leaves more beer time.

Thankfully it's free, but I would pay for it knowing it's capabilities. Still, it's great being free. Maybe Infospace has found a way to gather metrics to show usage among mobile users (like clicks thru's) this would more than validate it as a trendsetter. This basically would redefine mobile information/directory services if you could do this for your B2B clients. We all know smart-phones are going to crush laptops and will have a wider market share, but software is the key, else Microsoft wouldn't exist.

I'm using a 8703e with US Cellular on a BES and I get the same network error that many others have mentioned. Also I don't have TCP under Advanced Options on my BB.....is this because I am on a BES? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Goodness me: GPS apps are popping out all over. This one is a REALLY good one from my first 5 minutes of playing with it. As far as I can tell it's the only free app that can offer spoken directions that actually works (nav4all doesn't meet that last criterion in my opinion).

Can't wait for GPS puck support. I don't know that I would stop using GMM, and I doubt if it can compete with Telenav if the goal is to someday charge for it, but it's quite cool nonetheless.

This is a fantastic app! Thanks. I haven't had my BB for very long (7130e) and have been looking for a FREE alternative to Telenav (I dont like having to pay for things when there are free apps out there that are just as good or better) and I think I've finally found that app. Thanks for putting InfoSpace FindIt! out there for us to enjoy. Works like a charm so far on my 7130e. Haven't left the house yet to see how the navigation deal works out.

At least its being considered. I proposed this months ago and all I got for a response was NOT at this moment or something to that affect.

how is the progress in the last 2mths for Canadian Data??

Any users out there using the new 1.3.2 of infoSpace with a Sprint 8830 and not getting the option to use the internal GPS for locating business's close by? I don't even get the option to use the Built in GPS from the 8830.

I recently dumped my 8703e in favor of the 8830. I'm with USCC and on my old BB it used to find me using the GPS fine. On my new 8830, It doesn't find me. It just has the option to enter an address. I know that the GPS is working because it works in BB Maps just fine. Any idea what is going on?

I had the same issue when I installed this today. I installed it twice to no avail. I then downloaded and installed the 8800 version on my 8830 and that worked fine. I believe that the 8830 has the wrong/no gps support.

Are there any plans to add address book integration into this?

I'm on a Sprint 8830 and loaded 8800 version per posts above, and it seems to work great so far.

We do have an 8830 build with GPS that is currently in QA, and planned to be pushed out soon. You will see it in a couple weeks on the InfoSpace Find It! for Blackberry site.
